If the host has allowed participants to self-select and join breakout rooms of their choosing, participants will be able to view and select from a list of breakout rooms the host has created. They will be able to enter and leave breakout rooms freely.

Note: Participants not joined with the desktop or mobile app (version 5.3.0 or higher) will not be able to self-select a breakout room. The host will need to facilitate moving these participants manually.

Windows/Mac/Linux

1. Click on Breakout Rooms, then Choose Breakout Room
   
2. Click Join next to the Breakout Room you wish to participant in, then click Yes to join.
   

iPhone/Android

1. Tap on the Breakout Rooms icon on the left corner. (You might need to tap on the screen once to show the icon).
   
2. Select the new room and click Join.
   

iPad

1. Tap on the Breakout Rooms icon on the left corner. (You might need to tap on the screen once to show the icon).
2. Select the new room and click Join.

4. Alternatively, you can launch Zoom.
5. Click on the Settings icon on the top left.
   
6. Click on Version.
   
7. Zoom will automatically check for available updates and download the latest version, if one is available.

Open your Zoom client.

1. Click on the icon on the top right, then click Check for Updates.
   
2. Zoom will automatically check for available updates and download the latest version, if one is available. Once the download is complete, click Update Now.
   
3. If you are not signed in and see the following screen.
   
4. Right click on the small zoom icon in the bottom right of your desktop. (You might need to click on the up arrow to show the icon).
   
5. For Mac users, the Check for Updates option is on the top left.
